Clarification...

We aren't moving right now... just simply stating the fact that when the time comes to have to move, whenever that might be, it will not be a fun time because moving is exhausting.

We're settled and loving it :)

Consider yourself clarified!

Back from Camp

Well... we survived camp in the blistering heat! It was a good time and we're so thankful for the opportunity to be able to go. There was plenty of laundry and sleep to catch up on once we got home, but I'm happy to report that all of the laundry is now clean and we are finally feeling more rested! YAY!

I am glad to announce that I was hired at Excel Therapy which will be extremely helpful in my pursuit of becoming an Occupational Therapy Assistant. I want to make it clear, that I am not stopping at becoming a COTA, I'm simply taking a step toward making more money than I currently am with my current education. After receiving my COTA license I will then be eligible to participate in a bridge program which will help me to become an OTR or Registered Occupational Therapist. It seems to be a better route for me and my current situation. It would be a difficult commute to drive so far for the OTR at this point. Anyway, I'm excited about the position at Excel and can't wait to start working. It's going to be strange, I think, to begin working again, since I've been not working since the end of April. Oh well, back to life being busy, busy, busy! I won't start until the middle of July, so at least I have some time to finish up little projects I have here and there.

Which takes me to my next topic of conversation... Central Camp! It seems to only make sense that since I will not begin working until the middle of July that I should take advantage of the time I have and go to visit my wonderful family! So, I will be going back home to be with family and church family for a week before I begin working :) I am so excited and happy! Cody will just have to live without me for a week... you think he will be able to survive?!

The house is finally coming together... it's going to be so painful to have to move again, but I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get there. No need to fret about that at this point. The dogs are being really good and I actually just took Sadie for her check up and annual shots and our veterinarian said that she was a pleasure! That's my good girl!

Well, much to do. Toodles

Moving Right Along

Well, it's been a week or two since I've written, so I guess it's about time to update everyone on the lives of Cody and Courtney.

We have been married for a month and 3 days now and it seems like we literally just ran through the bubbles out to the car! Time is flying by and I can't even believe how right my parents were when they said "enjoy life when you're young"!! I didn't listen then, all I could think about was growing up and now that I'm here, I kind of wish I could go back to naps and cartoon and cereal every Saturday morning. Not to say that I'm not enjoying myself, however, because currently I am having probably one of the best times of my life. Things are simple and easy and FUN!

I'm learning how to be a cook which is an experience in itself... I'm ok, thanks to growing up watching my mom, but I still have a ways to go. Tonight I am cooking Beef Tips and Rice with Steamed Carrots and Rolls with freshly brewed Iced Tea. Sounds delicious, now I just have to pull it off!

We're leaving for Camp Ida Sunday after morning worship which will be a very unique experience for me. First off, there is no air conditioning, but that's not even the bad part... there isn't even a window unit/swamp cooler... pretty sure I'm going to keel over and die. :) I hope that isn't the case, but I'm sure going to be hot! It will also be a unique experience because I will be going to camp married... that's weird and cool all together. I'm like the adult of camp now instead of a directors kid or the really fun counselor. Now I'm "the director's wife"! Sounds kind of official, right? A little intimidating too if I can say so. Anyway, I'm excited for the new experience and thankful to have good friends to watch over our sweet puppies while we are away! We bought a pink baby pool today for the girls to stay cool in while we are away. I think they will really enjoy that!

Toodles for now... have to go cook and clean!
