Back from Camp

Well... we survived camp in the blistering heat! It was a good time and we're so thankful for the opportunity to be able to go. There was plenty of laundry and sleep to catch up on once we got home, but I'm happy to report that all of the laundry is now clean and we are finally feeling more rested! YAY!

I am glad to announce that I was hired at Excel Therapy which will be extremely helpful in my pursuit of becoming an Occupational Therapy Assistant. I want to make it clear, that I am not stopping at becoming a COTA, I'm simply taking a step toward making more money than I currently am with my current education. After receiving my COTA license I will then be eligible to participate in a bridge program which will help me to become an OTR or Registered Occupational Therapist. It seems to be a better route for me and my current situation. It would be a difficult commute to drive so far for the OTR at this point. Anyway, I'm excited about the position at Excel and can't wait to start working. It's going to be strange, I think, to begin working again, since I've been not working since the end of April. Oh well, back to life being busy, busy, busy! I won't start until the middle of July, so at least I have some time to finish up little projects I have here and there.

Which takes me to my next topic of conversation... Central Camp! It seems to only make sense that since I will not begin working until the middle of July that I should take advantage of the time I have and go to visit my wonderful family! So, I will be going back home to be with family and church family for a week before I begin working :) I am so excited and happy! Cody will just have to live without me for a week... you think he will be able to survive?!

The house is finally coming together... it's going to be so painful to have to move again, but I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get there. No need to fret about that at this point. The dogs are being really good and I actually just took Sadie for her check up and annual shots and our veterinarian said that she was a pleasure! That's my good girl!

Well, much to do. Toodles
