So, my grand idea of writing a blog was pretty premature. I thought being married I would have all this extra time to write about our lives as a new married couple and the many exciting things that are happening... BUT, I was completely wrong! The constant requirement of my time and energy is exhausting... I can't imagine how it's going to be when I have children. I think you literally have to be a superhero to be a working mom! (Kudos to my mother for raising us as well as she did!)
In the past, well, 6 months... man that's a long time... there have been so many things that have happened and, surprise, I have literally had two weekends in those 6 months to myself. In fact, I'm only writing this particular blog because I am in a short reprieve from school and I'm at home sick. Anyway, life is moving right along and we are doing really well! It's the holiday season (echo: the holiday season) and whoop-de-doo! We are hustling and bustling to get everything done before the holidays and before the new year. There are presents to finish purchasing, mason jar gifts to assemble, parties to attend, traffic to fight, resolutions to make and, of course, food to eat! This holiday season is special, as it is our first Christmas as a married couple! We have already hung 2 "Our First Christmas" ornaments!
This new year definitely has the potential to be very exciting and for it to continue in the hectic and busy ways we have already been experiencing. Throughout this past year, Cody and I have been working to finish out degrees and this next year we will both finish! I will finish in February and Cody will finish in May! As soon as I am able, I will be applying to the Murray State program in Oklahoma to work on my COTA degree and license. Then we'll be looking at many other new and exciting things.
Hopefully I will write again before June of 2012, but I'm not gonna promise anything...
